It is indicated for the prophylactic and therapeutic control of nausea and vomiting of both central and peripheral origin, caused by gastroenteric inflammation of infectious and non-infectious origin (including parvovirus).
It is also used in gastroenteric and gastroesophageal dysfunctions, postoperative and post-anesthetic states, and after hematogenic
oncological treatments (chemotherapy and/or radiation) As an adjuvant in esophagitis due to gastric reflux due to Spirocerca lupi. Gastric ecstasy and gastroenteric dysmotility and in any state that requires normalizing the emptying of gastric contents (functional gastric retention, pyloro-spasm, regurgitation) It is also recommended as a complement in the treatment of hypochloric gastritis and gastriculcer
Dogs: As an antiemetic: a) 0.2 – 0.5 mg/kg every 8 h, SC or IM; or 1 – 2 mg/kg per day as a continuous intravenous infusion.
b) To prevent vomiting in patients with laryngeal paralysis and as a result of tracheostomy: 0.05 mg/kg SC or by slow IV.
For the treatment of gastric motility disorders, or esophageal reflux: 0.1 – 0.5 mg/kg SC every 8 hours, 30 minutes before feeding and the animal
falls asleep; IV 0.02 mg/kg Cats:
a) 0.2 – 0.5 mg/kg SC every 8 hours; administer 30 minutes before
feeding and before the animal falls asleep b) 0.1 –0.3 mg/kg SC; IV 0.02 mg/kg.
