OXITOPISA® is indicated to stimulate uterine motility and induce and accelerate labor.
It is used as an aid in endometritis, hemorrhages and uterine prolapse correction, as well as to stimulate the evacuation of tissues and fluids retained in the uterus (placenta, lochia and pus).
At the beginning of lactation, OXITOPISA® is indicated to promote the letdown of milk, to remove themilk residues from the mammary gland and reduce the incidence of acute or chronic mastitis.
Cattle, sheep, goats and camels:
Administer 100,000 IU of sodium penicillin G, 300,000 IU of procaine penicillin G, 500 mg of streptomycin and 0.4 mg of dexamethasone which is equivalent to 1 ml for every 25 kg of weight.
Canines: Administer 40,000 to 160,000 IU of sodium penicillin G, 120,000 to 480,000 IU of procaine penicillin G, 200 to 800 mg of streptomycin, 0.16 to 0.64 mg of dexamethasone which is equivalent to 0.4 -1.6 ml.
Felines: Administer 20,000 to 40,000 IU of sodium penicillin G, 60,000 to 120,000 IU of procaine penicillin G, 100 to 200 mg of streptomycin, 0.08 to 0.16 mg of dexamethasone, which is equivalent to 0.2-0.4 ml for 1-3 days at the discretion of the veterinarian.
Deep intramuscular exclusively.
